QA Engineering Leader

Assignment description

We are looking for a QA Engineering Leader to define and drive the quality assurance strategy, test architecture and automation roadmap for a modern software platform and its development teams.

In this role, you will establish and continuously improve test frameworks, tooling, quality standards and QA processes across the software lifecycle. You will work closely with autonomous DevOps teams and contribute to areas such as platform testing, integration testing, test automation, performance and reliability testing, as well as quality gates and validation within CI/CD pipelines.

You will represent QA in architecture discussions and engineering forums, support robust processes for source control, build and release management, and drive a quality-by-design approach where testing and automation are integrated early in the development lifecycle. The role also includes defining and monitoring relevant quality metrics and identifying opportunities to improve automation, reliability, delivery speed and overall QA efficiency.

Qualifications

• You have at least 7 years of experience within QA.
• You have strong knowledge of non-functional requirements, particularly integration testing.
• You have good knowledge of modern QA practices in autonomous DevOps teams.
• You have a solid understanding of software engineering practices and principles.
• You have knowledge of modern QA and test tooling.
• You have hands-on experience developing and working with test automation.
• You communicate professionally in either English or Swedish.

Meritorious

• You have knowledge of ITIL and service management processes.
• You have hands-on software engineering experience.

You are comfortable taking a leading role in quality engineering while remaining hands-on when needed. You work well across development teams and technical stakeholders and are able to drive improvements in processes, automation and software quality.

Work setup

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, combining onsite and remote work. You should therefore be located close enough to the assignment location to work onsite on a regular basis.
