AI & Automation Architect (Team)

Assignment Description

We are looking for an AI & Automation Architect to lead end-to-end architecture from business need to production across AI, GenAI, LLMs, agentic systems, automation, AIOps, cloud, security and enterprise infrastructure.

You will own the target architecture, standards, reference patterns and technology roadmap, including model and platform selection, data and integrations, security and governance. You will guide engineering teams from discovery and POC through deployment, operations and lifecycle management while remaining hands-on with prototyping, technology evaluation and architecture/code reviews.

The role covers LLM/GenAI architecture, model evaluation, fine-tuning, routing and monitoring, as well as RAG, embeddings, vector/semantic search and knowledge grounding. You will design single- and multi-agent solutions using tool/function calling, MCP/A2A, controlled automation, human approval and observability.

You will work across Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry and Power Platform, as well as Data Center, Network, Security, Workplace/EUC, Service Management and Hybrid Cloud. You will define AIOps, SRE and automation patterns using OpenTelemetry, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Terraform/OpenTofu, APIs, GitOps and CI/CD.

The role also includes AI security, Zero Trust and governance, covering RBAC, data protection, guardrails, auditability and human approval, alongside LLMOps/MLOps/GenAIOps for testing, monitoring, versioning, model quality, FinOps and continuous improvement.

Required skills:

• You have broad AI expertise across LLMs/SLMs, multimodal and foundation models, fine-tuning, RAG/Agentic RAG, embeddings, vector databases, knowledge graphs, agents, MCP/A2A and AI evaluation.
• You have experience with Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and API Management.
• You have strong automation skills in Ansible, Python, PowerShell/Bash, Terraform/OpenTofu, APIs, Git/GitOps and CI/CD.
• You have experience across Data Center technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local/HCI, Windows/Linux, AD, storage, backup, DR and Cohesity.
• You have experience with network and security technologies such as Aruba, Palo Alto, SD-WAN, VXLAN/EVPN, Zero Trust, NAC, SASE/SSE, SIEM/SOAR and NDR.
• You have experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, Defender, Citrix/EUC and DEX.
• You have knowledge of NRE/SRE/PRE/MIRE, SLI/SLO, observability, error budgets and autonomous remediation.
• You have experience with ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM/CMDB, AIOps, event management, Power BI and hybrid cloud.
• You have 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud, automation, software engineering or related roles, including substantial hands-on delivery.
• You have proven experience designing and delivering production-grade enterprise AI/GenAI or automation platforms beyond strategy and POCs.
• You have experience taking AI/automation from business case and architecture through engineering, production and adoption.
• You have strong understanding of network, security, data center, workplace and cloud operations, combined with strong communication and architecture governance skills.

Preferred certifications:

• You have Microsoft Azure Architect, AI Engineer, DevOps, Security or equivalent certification.
• You have AI/ML, GenAI or relevant cloud AI credentials.
• You have Terraform and/or Red Hat Ansible Automation certification.
• You have VMware, Aruba and/or Palo Alto professional certifications.
• You have TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture qualification.
• You have ITIL/ServiceNow, SRE and/or cloud architecture credentials.
