Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced Hardware & Server Specialist to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of hardware infrastructure within a large-scale industrial platform and SCADA environment.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust hardware, server, and network infrastructure for critical operational systems. You will develop complex hardware architectures and network topologies, support deployment, testing, validation, and lifecycle management, as well as automate infrastructure configuration and deployment processes.
You will collaborate with engineering and platform teams to ensure scalable and reliable solutions, troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, maintain technical documentation and engineering standards, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and operational performance.
The assignment is well suited for professionals with experience in industrial infrastructure, data centers, automation, operational technology (OT), or mission-critical environments.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who takes a structured and quality-focused approach to their work. You are proactive, self-motivated, and confident in working independently while also being a collaborative team player. You adapt well to dynamic environments and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
Requirements:
- You have extensive experience in designing and deploying enterprise-level hardware and server infrastructure.
- You have solid technical expertise in hardware solutions, server environments, and network architecture.
- You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, SCADA systems, or similar technical environments.
- You have practical experience working with HPE infrastructure, Eaton power solutions, and Meinberg time synchronization technologies.
- You are proficient in Git/GitHub for version control and Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- You are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and technical specialists across different engineering disciplines.
You have experience with one or more technologies such as VMware and other virtualization platforms, hyperconverged infrastructure, external storage solutions and storage architectures, OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies. Experience with power management systems, LaTeX documentation, technical writing, and additional enterprise hardware vendors and technologies is also considered an advantage.
Ideally, you have a background in SCADA or industrial infrastructure, data center operations, infrastructure engineering, or industrial automation. Experience from energy, utilities, manufacturing, or other mission-critical industries is highly valued, as well as hands-on involvement in hardware testing, deployment, lifecycle management, and large-scale infrastructure implementations.
