Assignment description
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Integration Specialist to join a team responsible for business-critical HR IT solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
The role combines new integration development, modernization of existing interfaces and technical troubleshooting. You will work with an integration platform built on PostgreSQL, supporting the exchange and transformation of employee, organizational and other HR-related data between core HR systems and downstream applications for areas such as payroll, time management, benefits, expense management and analytics.
You will take responsibility for integration solutions throughout their lifecycle, from technical analysis and design to implementation, testing, deployment and operational maintenance. The role involves both independent technical delivery and close collaboration with developers, solution architects, service managers, system owners and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
You will design, develop, configure and maintain integrations and translate functional requirements, field mappings and business rules into technical solutions using PostgreSQL/SQL, Web APIs and file-based interfaces. The work includes data mapping and transformation, validation, filtering, routing logic and reference data handling.
You will also analyze existing interfaces, data flows and system dependencies, support testing and troubleshooting, and contribute to improving performance, reliability, maintainability and data quality. The role includes technical documentation, deployments, operational handovers and close collaboration across technical and business functions.
Qualifications
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in hands-on integration development or a similar technical development role.
- You have strong practical experience with PostgreSQL and SQL development.
- You have experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using Web APIs, web services and file-based interfaces such as SFTP.
- You have a good understanding of integration architecture and technical design.
- You have experience working with structured data formats such as JSON and XML.
- You have experience with data mapping, transformations, validations, filtering and business rule implementation.
- You have experience with integration testing, defect analysis, debugging and deployment.
- You understand secure integration development, data protection, access controls, error handling and operational monitoring.
- You have experience maintaining and troubleshooting integrations in production environments.
- You are able to independently drive technical development tasks while collaborating with developers, architects and business stakeholders.
- You have professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- You have a relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
Meritorious
- Experience with SQL-based integration platforms, integration middleware or comparable in-house integration solutions.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other HR master data integrations.
- Experience integrating payroll, benefits, time management, analytics or other HR-related applications.
- Understanding of HR and payroll data structures, employee lifecycle processes and organizational data dependencies.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript or Groovy.
- Experience with agile development methods, version control and collaborative software development practices.
- Swedish language skills.
You are independent, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of technical assignments from analysis through implementation and operational handover. You work in a structured and quality-conscious way and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You collaborate well with others, communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and proactively identify risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement. You are adaptable, technically curious and enjoy sharing knowledge within the team.
