Java / Spring Boot Developers – Data Migration Project

Assignment description

We are looking for experienced Java / Spring Boot Developers to join a data migration project within the insurance sector.

You will be part of an established team working with the migration of insurance policies from a legacy core system to a modern insurance platform. The migration is batch-based and follows recurring test and production cycles.

The solution is built as a Java Spring Boot CLI application that reads data through Azure Databricks, transforms and validates the information, and loads it into the target platform. The role requires a strong hands-on development profile and an interest in data migration, batch processing and integration-heavy environments.

You will contribute to the development, maintenance and quality assurance of the migration solution and work closely with the wider project team throughout the migration lifecycle.

Qualifications

Must-have:

• You have strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• You have solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• You have experience with data migration and integrations, particularly ETL or batch processing of large datasets.
• You have experience working in agile environments and with Azure DevOps.
• You have good spoken and written English.

Experience with Guidewire, insurance, Azure Databricks, Gradle, Flyway or AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
