Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer responsible for the development of automation test strategies and test frameworks, as well as creating and configuring test frameworks and executing automated tests for product upgrades and the support of clinical studies using Unify, a clinical trial solution co-designed by patients and healthcare professionals to streamline the trial experience and digitize clinical trials. Working closely with the Study Upgrades QA and BA team, this position is within a large product containing a web portal, mobile apps, medical devices integrations, content management system, app configurations, and many more integrations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Automation Strategy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of an automation strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the Study Upgrades QA team to plan and execute automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of test results. Plan and execute automation tests on a continual basis.
• Automation Scripting: Create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium. Convert existing manual test scripts/cases to executable automated tests.
• Defect Management: Manage automation-related defects, including identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor and analyze test automation performance, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
• Support and maintain the Unify test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features, or bug fixes.
• Documentation: Document automation processes, frameworks, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency across projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify improvements and enhancements, continual improvement of the Automation framework.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Degree educated or relevant working experience
• Previous experience working as a Senior Test Automation Engineer (5+ years in Test Automation)
• Strong hands-on automation skills drawn from experience of automating using varying technologies and tools
• Strong understanding of various testing automation principles, concepts, approaches, and methods
• Ability to code in Java and an understanding of Object-Oriented design principles
• Understanding & use of Automated agile / non-agile testing methods such as Cucumber BDD & Selenium, etc.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and loves embracing challenges
• Experience with Jira, Confluence
• Proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving, excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Excellent task management skills and task prioritization
