Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer.

You will be part of our client’s Developer Experience organization with the mission to create a great developer experience by providing platform products that support high performance & productivity for their software engineers. Every software engineer and software team at their organization is considered a potential customer, and they are obsessed with understanding their customers and how they can help them to be successful and productive.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a set of core plugins for their Backstage app.
• Design the developer experience and lifecycle of plugins for other teams contributing to the portal.
• Ensure ease of creation, debugging, testing, release, and lifecycle management of plugins.
• Collaborate with an agile team to work towards OKRs, team objectives, and key results.
• Work closely with the team to build and enhance the development portal.
• Maintain and update the portal as new tools and resources are added.
• Provide support to users of the internal developer portal.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in web development, including knowledge of principles and best practices.
• Expertise in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Git, and GitHub, with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Very good understanding of DevOps, GitOps, and Platform Engineering.
• Ability to quickly grasp plugin development on Backstage, if not already familiar.
