Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a Configuration Engineer. They are a global leading provider of digital health solutions within the health tech business. We are looking for someone who can support digitalization to better meet the needs of healthcare professionals, regulators, and patients. Our client’s product, Unify, is a clinical trial solution designed to simplify the trial experience for all participants and help digitize clinical trials.

About the Team

You will be part of a digital product development and engineering organization that consists of many cross-functional and self-organized/managed teams with the people, skills, and resources to deliver their part of the product. They work closely with health professionals and patients throughout the company in various roles. They are a global company that believes in their people, as their people make the difference. The Configuration Engineering team works to provide well-configured systems and environments used for testing across various development teams. Their experts are at the core of the project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine requirements, investigate, localize, prevent, and eliminate various issues.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Plan, estimate, and configure clinical studies software.
• Manage the end-to-end process connected to software configuration.
• Determine configuration and integration requirements.
• Analyze requirements and business needs.
• Outline deadlines and provide estimations.
• Coordinate with development and QA teams regarding dependencies on deliveries and releases.
• Collaborate and communicate closely with stakeholders.
• Create and commit configuration.
• Perform configuration reviews.
• Fix any defects in the configuration.
• Hold the requirements team accountable for asset deadlines.
• Remove any blockers that might affect the configuration deadline.
• Communicate configuration readiness to the Program Manager/Implementation Lead.
• Maintain source code in version control tools for different projects with branching and merging strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work independently in defining requirements.
• Experience and good understanding of version control processes and systems.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, and TypeScript.
• Experience and understanding of software development processes.
• Experience with Git, NPM/Yarn.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of QA and/or DevOps processes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio/Xcode, Postman, JIRA or similar, Service Desk or similar.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Azure pipelines.
• Experience in a similar position and in integrating software with medical devices.
