Upgraded People signs an exclusive framework agreement with the Swedish Tax Agency for the provision of IT and AI consultancy services

The consultancy recruitment firm Upgraded People has won one of the largest public sector procurement contracts in Sweden relating to the provision of IT and AI expertise. The contract, known as the “IT Consultancy Brokerage” scheme, has a maximum value of 5.55 billion kronor and runs for two years, with the option to extend for a further 1 + 1 year. Upgraded People is the only supplier to have been awarded a framework agreement.

The agreement covers not only the Swedish Tax Agency, but also the Swedish Enforcement Authority, the Election Authority, the Payment Authority and the Tax Law and Research Tax Board. The Swedish Tax Agency acts as the contracting authority for all parties, and both the Swedish Tax Agency and the Swedish Enforcement Authority will sign separate but identical framework agreements.

The background to this procurement is the need for a flexible and effective skills provision that supports the Swedish Tax Agency and other public authorities in their priority areas for development.
