Assignment Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a development and operation of a data platform. The role includes using CI/CD practices to build, test, deploy and maintain data products, in close collaboration with an infrastructure team to ensure stable deployments and minimize risks such as downtime or data loss.

You will help stakeholders access data securely, requiring solid knowledge in data warehousing, ETL, software testing, and basic experience with AWS and Azure. A proactive mindset and strong team spirit are essential. You will design, develop, and manage scalable batch and streaming pipelines, automate and monitor workflows, and ensure data quality and system performance. Responsibilities include cleansing, deduplication, and transformation of data, platform operations, upgrade testing (regression, security, functional), and implementing data quality and security controls. You’ll troubleshoot issues, define data models with stakeholders, provide user support, maintain documentation, and create reporting models and dashboards in Power BI.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS (Redshift, EMR, S3) and Azure (Data Factory, Power BI).
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
• Ability to use Power BI for visualization and analytics.
• Strong interest in big data and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Solid knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, DevOps, CI/CD, and software testing.
• Proficiency in a programming language like SQL or Python.
• Minimum five years of experience in data engineering.
• Familiar with data processing frameworks such as Flink or Spark.

It is considered as a merit if you have previous experience with platforms like Databricks or Snowflake, or managing infrastructure with IaC tools.
