Assignment description
We are looking for a Automation Test Engineer (Playwright Specialist).
A technically demanding role for a hands-on Test Automation engineer. Involves defining and executing test cases in TypeScript and JavaScript. Experience with Playwright, Cypress, and TypeScript/JavaScript is required
Main Responsibilities
- Design, define, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright for both web and API testing.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks to ensure scalability, stability, and high coverage.
- Perform test automation execution and troubleshooting, ensuring fast feedback and high reliability.
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
- Implement CI/CD integration for automated testing using GitHub Workflows.
- Continuously improve the automation process by identifying new opportunities for optimization and applying best practices.
- Occasionally perform manual verification where needed to validate automation accuracy.
Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- You have 5+ years of test automation. Having experience in roles in full time test automation.
- You have 3+ years of experience in Playwright — both in developing automation frameworks and authoring/executing scripts.
- You have experience in Cypress
- You have strong scripting skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- You have hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or JMeter.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
It’s a bonus if you have experience in performance testing and test metrics reporting, as well as an understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Workflows, and Agile methodologies. Previous experience in the telecom industry or with telecom-related projects is also considered an advantage.
