Assignment description

We are looking for an Industrial Designer to join a team working with design development for truck platforms and related transportation solutions.

In this role, you will contribute to a variety of design projects, primarily focusing on updates and improvements of existing truck platform applications, while also supporting future concepts and services within transportation systems. A key part of the work is rapid ideation and concept development, translating ideas into feasible solutions for realization and industrialization.

You will apply strong visualization skills to communicate concepts and create simple 3D models, while guiding 3D surface designers in the development process. The role involves close collaboration with other design disciplines such as CMF, Visual Graphics, Interaction Design, Vehicle Ergonomics, and Studio Engineering, as well as cross-functional engineering teams.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working creatively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and who can bridge the gap between concept and production-ready design.

Qualifications:

• You have a master’s degree in Industrial Design/Automotive Design (or equivalent).
• You have experience from automotive design work (mandatory), design studio experience is beneficial.
• You have solid professional work experience with multiple high-level projects.
• You have exceptional visual communication skills (incl. advanced 2D sketching and preferably 3D concept modeling).
• You have a deep understanding and knowledge of design as a tool for building and transforming brands, as well as supporting business strategies.
• You are fluent in English, both spoken & written. 

You have strong communication skills and can clearly articulate and present design ideas to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You bring a collaborative mindset and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

You are adaptable and comfortable working in an agile setting, able to adjust to changing priorities and project conditions. At the same time, you are self-driven and capable of working independently, taking ownership of your tasks and delivering towards set goals and timelines while managing multiple assignments in parallel.
