Assignment description

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Assurance Lead to support a large international organization undergoing significant infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives.

This is a key role within the Technology Services function, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure operational excellence, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the infrastructure landscape.

The environment includes both on-premises and cloud-based services, outsourced delivery models, and ongoing modernization initiatives.

In this role, you will ensure that infrastructure processes and controls are operating effectively, drive follow-up and governance of external service providers and delivery partners, and review areas such as change management, patching, vulnerability management, backup and recovery processes.

You will also monitor service quality and supplier performance against agreed SLAs, review root cause analyses and ensure corrective actions are implemented, support lifecycle management planning and infrastructure roadmaps, and validate the quality and accuracy of CMDB data, service dependencies, and documentation.

The role also includes improving operational transparency, reporting and governance processes, collaborating with infrastructure, operations, security and architecture teams, and acting as a trusted advisor who can challenge stakeholders and suppliers when necessary.

Qualifications:

Need to have:

• Several years of experience within IT Infrastructure, Operations, Service Management, or Infrastructure Governance
• Experience working with outsourced IT delivery and large service providers
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practices
• Experience driving improvements within infrastructure operations and governance
• Ability to combine technical understanding with stakeholder management

Strong understanding of:

• Server and compute environments
• Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Network infrastructure
• Active Directory / Entra ID
• Storage, backup and recovery solutions
• CMDB and configuration management

Nice to Have:

• Experience from regulated industries such as banking, finance, insurance, or critical infrastructure
• Experience supporting cloud migration or datacenter transformation initiatives
• Experience working in international, multi-vendor environments
