Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer specializing in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The role involves building scalable, governed analytics solutions and collaborating across multiple teams as needed.
You should be comfortable working in a platform-building environment where requirements are not always fully defined. The role requires transparent collaboration through backlogs, priorities, delivery plans, and agile practices. Clear English communication, documentation, reusable delivery patterns, knowledge sharing, and reducing dependency on individual team members are expected as part of everyday work.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience improving report performance, validating data, and developing solutions that can be maintained over time.
- A minimum of approximately six years of relevant professional experience within BI or analytics engineering.
- Advanced expertise in DAX and in designing data models, dimensional structures, and semantic models.
- Well-developed capabilities in producing documentation and transferring knowledge.
- Direct experience using Microsoft Fabric, or substantial experience with Power BI and Azure-based data platforms together with a demonstrated capacity to become effective in Fabric quickly.
- Extensive hands-on capability in developing Power BI solutions, covering report creation, administration of workspaces, and controlled self-service BI.
- Capability to interpret business requirements, turn them into workable analytics solutions, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- An established analytics engineering way of working, with analytical assets designed for version control, testing, and reuse.
It is considered an advantage if you have experience with enterprise-scale BI migrations. It is also beneficial if you hold certifications such as PL-300 or DP-600. Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar modern data platforms is valued. Experience configuring row-level security, object-level security, and access controls in Power BI and Fabric, particularly in multi-entity or franchise environments, is also advantageous. Knowledge of governed self-service analytics, data contracts, and data-product practices is considered beneficial. Experience managing BI asset releases using deployment pipelines and Git integration is also seen as a plus. Practical experience working with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, or notebooks is likewise advantageous.
