Assignment description

We are looking for a Project Manager for an assignment focused on safety governance within autonomous solutions.

The role is responsible for ensuring that autonomous solutions operate in accordance with applicable safety standards, regulations and internal governance requirements. You will own the safety case and act as the safety authority for deployment decisions, including safety go/no-go before solutions are released into operation.

The assignment covers both internally developed and partner-delivered solutions. You will work closely with Product & Technology, Deployment & Operations, external partners and regulatory bodies to support safe deployment, operation and continuous improvement of autonomous solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain safety processes and governance across partner-delivered solutions.
• Own the safety case and hold the safety go/no-go decision before deployment.
• Escalate safety no-go decisions directly to the Managing Director when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and internal governance requirements.
• Support risk assessments and operational safety reviews.
• Collaborate with technical teams, operations, and external partners on safety-related matters.
• Support incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Act as the primary interface toward internal and external regulatory bodies.
• Drive continuous improvement of safety processes and safety culture.
• Coordinate safety responsibilities across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualification:

Must Have:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience within functional safety, operational safety, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with safety case methodology and safety case management.
• Experience working with standards and frameworks such as: ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
• Incident reporting processes
• Strong analytical and risk management capabilities.
• English.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with autonomous systems.
• Experience within automotive safety or industrial safety frameworks.
• Experience from operational deployment or field validation environments.
• Understanding of autonomous vehicle (AV) operational risk management.
• Swedish.
