Assignment description

We are looking for a Book Editor to join a global tech company and an international team working to develop the digital experience within books and audio content.

In this role, you will be responsible for curating and developing book content and recommendations for the Polish market. You will work across editorial strategy, content selection, copywriting, trend analysis and publisher relationships.

You will contribute to the editorial strategy for books in the Polish market, curate and manage prioritized editorial initiatives and recommendations, write copy, review and tag content, and build strong relationships with publishers in the Polish market.

The role also includes identifying relevant titles, authors and trends based on local culture and market understanding. You will use research, cultural insights and data to develop content and recommendations, while collaborating closely with editorial and cross-functional teams internationally.

Qualifications:

• You have 3–5 years of experience editing, curating or working with content merchandising on a digital platform, at a publishing house or for a larger book retailer.
• You are fluent in Polish.
• You have strong communication skills in English and are comfortable collaborating with global teams.
• You have a deep understanding of the Polish book and publishing market.
• You have strong knowledge of books, authors, book series and titles, with the ability to identify relevant recommendations.
• You are able to use both quantitative and qualitative data to support editorial decisions.
• You have experience creating broad and representative content recommendations.
• You have a strong interest in books, audio content and spoken word.
• You are highly organized and have strong attention to detail.
