Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Specialist within the IT Category to support a strategic transformation project. The role will drive sourcing activities to secure the project timeline, support Day-1 readiness and prepare the future organisation for supplier mobilisation and delivery.
You will independently manage procurements of goods and services, supplier follow-up and evaluations, while advising internal stakeholders on contracts, procurement, direct procurements and framework agreement call-offs. You will also contribute to working groups and procurement-related investigations.
The assignment includes conducting IT category and supplier-market scans and translating business, IT, architecture, security and transition requirements into sourcing strategies, supplier criteria and procurement plans. You will coordinate LUF RFI, RFQ and RFP processes, procurement milestones, dependencies and decisions, as well as develop commercial models, evaluation criteria and scoring structures.
You will support supplier evaluation, shortlisting, clarification meetings, negotiations and commercial recommendations, followed by contracting, onboarding, mobilisation and handover. You will also track supplier status, timelines, commercial assumptions, risks and decisions, provide input to programme reporting, budgets and Steering Committee materials, and coordinate with relevant procurement functions and the future organisation.
Qualifications:
- You have a relevant university or college degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills and can constructively challenge and align commercial, technical and business perspectives.
- You have strong analytical and structuring skills, with attention to detail and a focus on transparency and auditability in procurement decisions.
- You are pragmatic and delivery-oriented, balancing procurement quality, governance and compliance with programme deadlines and decision needs.
- You can prioritise, create structure and maintain momentum in fast-changing environments with incomplete information and multiple dependencies.
- You are self-driven and collaborative, comfortable working independently as well as in multidisciplinary programme teams.
- You demonstrate high integrity and sound judgement when handling commercially sensitive and confidential information.
