Assignment Description

We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer with current, demonstrable delivery experience covering both frontend and backend development. The role requires genuine breadth across the technology stack rather than frontend expertise combined with limited API work or backend expertise combined with occasional user-interface development.

You will help create a user-friendly, production-ready planning interface while also taking ownership of the underlying integrations. The work includes delivering React and TypeScript interfaces alongside Node.js and OpenAPI services within the same assignment. You will need to understand how information moves between different systems and contribute to a clean solution that develops the architecture already taking shape. The existing architectural direction should be extended and adapted rather than replaced.

Working closely with product and UX, you will identify appropriate solutions and adjust them to the needs of different end-user groups. The assignment calls for a collaborative team member who is prepared to contribute to the work and take responsibility across the technical solution.

Required Qualifications:

• Recent, demonstrable delivery experience across both frontend and backend development, including the ability to deliver React and TypeScript interfaces alongside Node.js and OpenAPI services within the same assignment
• Frontend development using React and TypeScript, including work with CSS and Styled Components, state management, component-based user interfaces and design systems
• Knowledge of frontend build tooling, performance and accessibility, including WCAG
• Backend-for-frontend development using Node.js and TypeScript, including REST API design and documentation with OpenAPI or Swagger, as well as schema validation
• Good knowledge of the wider web landscape, including both producing and consuming REST and OpenAPI services
• Practical work with cloud-hosted applications and containerised environments, together with an understanding of authentication, authorisation and secure application design, and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and modern engineering practices
• Use of databases and SQL, with PostgreSQL as one example, as well as experience with headless content management systems such as Contentful
• Knowledge of how information is transferred between systems and the ability to work within an architecture that is already taking shape and develop it further
• Use of Figma in UX-driven development and the ability to collaborate with product and UX when identifying solutions and adapting them to end-user needs

It is considered an advantage if you have experience with 3D visualisation technologies such as Three.js, React Three Fiber, Autodesk APS or similar technologies, as well as experience with headless CMS solutions and dynamic page rendering. Experience working with AI-assisted solutions and integrations, familiarity with event-driven architectures and observability tooling, or knowledge of Java or C# as additional programming languages is also considered advantageous.
