Assignment description

We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to support and steer a portfolio of product development and customer-related projects.

In this role, you will act as a finance business partner and trusted advisor to project managers and management teams, ensuring financial transparency, control and well-informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. You will work across a diverse project portfolio, ranging from product and service development initiatives to complex customer projects, with a strong focus on profitability, resource efficiency and successful execution.

Your responsibilities include financial planning, forecasting and follow-up, as well as monitoring project performance, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting corrective actions. You will analyze project profitability, business cases and investment proposals and provide management with financial insights, decision material and performance analyses.

The role also includes developing and maintaining project financial reporting related to budgets, resource utilization and cost development, as well as supporting portfolio management and business development through ad hoc analyses. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of controlling processes, tools and reporting methods.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales, purchasing, production and finance and translate financial data into clear, business-oriented insights that support project priorities and investment decisions.

Qualifications:

• You have a university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• You have experience in controlling, financial analysis, project controlling, business controlling or project management support.
• You have strong analytical skills and the ability to understand technical, commercial and financial drivers.
• You have experience working with budgets, forecasts, business cases and financial reporting.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills and can explain financial matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• You have a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across functions and organizational levels.
• You are professionally fluent in English.

Meriting

• Knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.
• It is highly meriting if you have experience from product development, industrial operations, manufacturing or customer project environments.
