Our client’s Comfort & Safety team is in need of an experienced Software Owner specializing in Passive Safety. They lead Passive Safety within Zeekr and is engaged in current and future architecture programs, delivering software to both launched and upcoming vehicles. The role involves participation in early concept development and industrialization phases for future vehicle architectures.
As a Software Owner, you will be responsible for software requirements and specifications, ensuring the fulfillment of Stakeholder demands. This includes coordinating with function, subsystem owners, and ECU Owner to align the implementation plan, serving as the interface with development suppliers, and ensuring the execution of supplier implementation plans. Coordination with internal Software Developers is crucial to ensure timely and expected deliveries. This role also involves following up on issue management and ensuring the resolution of Software Integration Management (SWIM) items.
While this role does not involve coding, a strong understanding of software development tasks and processes is essential. A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive ECU software development, along with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex systems, is required.
You need a background in Passive Safety or other software within systems with high safety requirements is desirable. Knowledge of mechanical/electronic systems is highly valued.
The ideal candidate should be a team player, effective in a cross-functional team, and proactive in taking the lead. Working with people from diverse cultures and countries is a key aspect of the role. Occasional travel within the EU and to China will be required for this role.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
- +5 years of automotive experience
- Experience in Electrical/Electronic development is required for this assignment
- Ability to manage tasks independently and drive issues with energy
- Transparent reporting of the status of the assigned area
- Ability to manage cross-functional contacts as required
- ECU software technical knowledge or previous experience in component software ownership
- Fluent in English (both writing and speech)
- Spanish or Mandarin are considered a merit
Education:
- Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
