Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is now seeking a Remote Functions – Java Backend Developer.

Our client focuses on the customer-centric functions of the connected car experience they produce. They develop things like Android apps that entertain and guide you while driving. They also handle the full stack for remote functions in call operations, such as starting the heater from your phone or Google Home Assistant to ensure a warm and cozy car.

What You’ll Do

You will thrive as part of one of their highly skilled agile DevOps teams, where your primary focus will be to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain parts of the next generation Cloud backend for their remote functions. You will work with modern tools, microservices, and cutting-edge technologies. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from your peers, influence their work, and develop great things. Their teams have a hybrid setup, working partly remotely and partly from their office in Gothenburg.

If you wish, you can even broaden your skills and explore other system components such as mobile applications and embedded systems.

Required Experience:

• Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Microservices.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Fluent in Java programming, with experience working with AWS, and a focus on quality.
• Comfortable using tools such as Git and Jira.

Meritorious Experiences:

• UNIX/Linux (often abbreviated as *nix),
• Spring Boot, Cassandra, JMS/MQ, REST, AMQP, MQTT, gRPC.
• Web development with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Angular.
• Experience in Python programming.
