Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Test Automation Engineer – Digital Key & Approach.

The Connected Experience organization within R&D encompasses Remote Functions, Connectivity, Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications, and Data & Diagnostics. Their Agile Release Train (ART) mission within the Car Cloud Platform and Remote Functions Department is to enable remote functions globally, contributing to the overall connected experience. They build, provide, and operate a highly secure runtime ecosystem for functions and applications serving their connected cars and users. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with development teams, including manual testers.
• Implement and run tests on embedded software within their CI system.
• Test scenarios encompass embedded software, hardware, and wireless connections to the cloud.
• Testing extends to real mobile devices and cars.
• Specific test scenarios will be determined based on candidate expertise and interest.
• Future development will involve approach scenarios.
• This role is a core competence in their future team build.
• Expect travel as part of the role.

Qualifications:

• Test case execution
• Result documentation
• Test rig setup and testing
• Documented experience in automated testing and CI
• Programming knowledge for creating automated tests, especially in Python
• Pipeline experience
• Experience in the automotive industry
• CAN bus experience
• Fault tracing and debugging experience
• Background as an automation tester in both hardware and software is preferred.
• Experience as a developer and/or manual tester is advantageous.
• Relevant education in testing or development is preferred.
• Emphasis on the importance of exploratory testing.
• The development field is tech-heavy, but test cases must also consider user experience.
