Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Software Engineer for DevOps Services.

You will be part of their Developer Experience organization with the mission to create a great developer experience by providing platform products that support high performance & productivity for our client’s software engineers. Every software engineer and software team at our client is a potential customer, and they are obsessed with understanding their customers and how they can help them to be successful and productive.

What you will do:

We seek an experienced, design-minded DevOps engineer / web developer to join our client’s team where GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Backstage (open-source software) are two main pillars. They want you to be able to jump between these two areas but mainly focus on GitHub enterprise.

You will be a member of an agile team working towards Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), team objectives, and key results. You will work closely with your team to enhance the developer experience through GitHub, which is an important enabler for their internal developer portal, Backstage. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and updating GitHub as well as supporting their users.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in web development and DevOps, including knowledge of principles and best practices.
• Expertise in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Proficiency in Git, GitHub, TypeScript, and React.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Very good understanding of DevOps, GitOps, and Platform Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least a couple of years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
