Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Engineer New Development.

At their Energy Management team they design, research, deliver and verify functions and software systems to improve energy efficiency, minimize range anxiety and ensure a market-leading charging experience while balancing attributes using available data and given hardware.​

In their team they are 7 engineers with diverse backgrounds located in Gothenburg and have the overall responsibility to inform, educate and coach users in their electrification experience while driving. Some of their inputs are objective and subjective data, conclusions from benchmarks and lessons learned. They collaborate with many different areas within our client such as User Experience (UX), Product Validation (PKV) and the development/programming teams.

Responsibilities:

• Writing requirements
• Defining function and system design
• Verifying customer and product functions in vehicles
• Understanding and predicting customer behavior
• Developing the user interface
• Conducting data analysis
• Benchmarking
• Planning work ahead
• Ensuring continuous improvement of energy management functions, including:
  • Range prediction
  • Power meter
  • State of charge
  • Battery thermal management
  • Range and trip assistant
  • Supporting Google navigation energy prediction
• Collaborating with various teams and individuals, both internal and external to the department.

Mandatory:

• System and/or function development background
• Previous experience with Human Machine Interaction or User Experience design (UX/HMI)
• Driver’s License (B)
• Fluent in English (speech and writing)
