Assignment Description

Our client is looking for a Seniow Power BI Engineer for an assignment to start as soon as possible. The office is in Stockholm, but working remote is allowed.

What you’ll do:

• Utilize SQL Server Management Studio to manage linked servers, create and schedule jobs, and maintain a robust data architecture within SSMS.
• Leverage expertise in Power BI to set up and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS), manage gateways, and establish and manage connections for seamless data flow.
• Develop, create, and maintain reports in Power BI, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices to optimize reporting capabilities.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with SQL Server Management Studio, including linked servers, job creation and scheduling, and maintaining data architecture within SSMS.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI, including experience in setting up and maintaining Row-Level Security (RLS), managing gateways, and establishing and managing connections.
• Strong proficiency in creating, developing, and maintaining reports in Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for data integration.
• Familiarity with tools like SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for efficient data extraction and transformation.
• Proficient in writing DAX formulas for complex calculations and aggregations in Power BI.
• Experience in optimizing DAX queries for performance.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Proficiency in creating visually appealing and insightful dashboards in Power BI.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing code in SSMS.
