Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Test Engineer for their new central platform, which represents the future of their organization.

Our client envisions a future where friends, families, and children are transported in a personal, sustainable, and safe manner. They are building a self-driving, fully electric, connected, and exceptionally safe car. At the heart of this endeavor is a core computer capable of hosting a vast array of electric control units and applications – the vehicle control unit. In their R&D department, they are coding the base software for this computer to enhance computational power and facilitate seamless integration with applications. This future vehicle, with its core computer architecture, will enable advanced connectivity, machine learning, and autonomous driving.

Given the critical nature of this endeavor, ensuring the quality of the code is paramount. Therefore, they are eagerly seeking a new colleague to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop base test case scenarios for other teams to build upon.
• Ensure the quality of testing and compliance with safety regulations.
• Support development teams by providing guidance on using base test scenarios and offering guidelines for their test framework.
• Participate in requirement definition and documentation in test records.
• Utilize Python programming and automotive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing in daily work.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a system tester in a modern software development environment with a highly automated test framework and continuous integration.
• Experience supporting and educating others in using, updating, and troubleshooting tests.
• Basic understanding of requirement handling and a willingness to learn how to prove product compliance with safety standards and reliability requirements.
• Familiarity with functional safety/ISO 26262 is considered meritorious.
