Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Cloud Platform Developer – Data and Analytics within Engineering Data Hub.

Software engineering is an increasingly important area in the automotive industry. They are bringing more of the software development in-house to better handle continuous integration and the complex interactions between different functions. Their data vision at their organization is powering innovation and every decision with trusted data and manage obstacles through innovative, robust designs, and design for change. They are a unit within Software Engineering, with a clear purpose to make their consumers feel special and rewarded by delivering leading Scandinavian design and seamless connectivity. Our client works in a fun and high-paced organization, and you can now join the Engineering Data Hub department. Their department mission is to provide trusted data and insights to understand product & process performance and customer behavior, enabling improved efficiency and better customer experience. They are growing and they are therefore now looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking.

They are the Platform Operations and Engineering team, working to accelerate and streamline the use of data, analytics, and AI. The team innovates and collaborates to offer a great user experience and to provide a unified self-service platform.

Responsibilities:

• Configuring and setting up cloud infrastructure.
• Deploying and operating data-oriented applications on Kubernetes.
• Working closely with other teams and platform users to gather requirements and maintain seamless operations.
• You will have the unique opportunity of contributing directly to the Platform’s foundation. Your input will directly shape its trajectory, setting the stage for its future growth and success.

• Languages: Python, Go
• Cloud: Azure, AWS, Rancher, Kubernetes, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Vault
• DevOps: Terraform, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm
• PaaS: Databricks, Snowflake

Qualifications:

• Public or private cloud (Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
• Implementation of scalable infrastructure through an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
• Deployment and operation of applications on Kubernetes.
• CI/CD and other modern software development methodologies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields.
• Familiarity with Agile methods.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Good to have:

• Networking, security, and reliability in enterprise cloud solutions.
• Continuous Deployment with tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.
• Tools and technologies for working with Big Data, including event streaming (e.g. Kafka, MQTT), large-scale data processing (e.g. Spark, Ray, Arrow), and storage solutions for Big Data (e.g. Data Lake, Data Warehouse).
