Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Quant IQ (QIQ) Software Development Consultant with expertise in C#/Python/Kubernetes. The firm operates a Proprietary Trading business focusing on energy-related commodities, supported by Market Analysts, Quantitative Developers, Data Scientists, and Software Developers.

The QIQ team, a cross-functional group from the Front Office and IT, supports the full suite of trading analytics. They manage a containerized coding environment (CDE) running on a Kubernetes cluster and adhere to a DevOps paradigm.

The primary responsibilities within this team include managing the Kubernetes cluster, maintaining Docker images, and overseeing GitLab build pipelines. The software development workflows involve creating custom libraries and/or services for bespoke solutions. Backend code is predominantly written in C#, while end-user code and libraries are developed in Python.

Qualifications:

• Several years of software development experience.
• Expertise in Kubernetes (AKS) Administration using Helm and Flux.
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0/OIDC mechanisms.
• High-level understanding of Python 3.10+.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET 5+.
• Experienced with Git (GitLab).
• Ability to analyze data and understand its structure.
• Experience in monitoring and observability.
• Language proficiency: English, Norwegian, Swedish.
