Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an HVAC Developer in Electronics.
The Climate Department is a part of the Vehicle Platform unit within our client’s R&D division. They own and develop most of the components connected to the climate system, the software control, and the customer experience. They are on a challenging and exciting journey where the climate system is an important part of their organization’s focus on electrification and energy efficiency.
The HVAC & Air Distribution Team develops next-generation HVAC and Air Distribution systems. They develop their components through build-to-print design and full-service supplier agreements. The team sets requirements and verifies product and system performance using CFD, rigs, and complete vehicle testing. Their challenge is to balance energy efficiency, sustainability, and climate comfort in the most valuable way for the customer. They are now looking for a consultant with expertise in electronics to bring additional knowledge and value to the team.
As a member of their team, you will contribute electrical engineering competence and be part of all phases of the HVAC development process. You will participate in and support the team members and the product owner in planning and prioritizing the team’s backlog. The team shares a joint responsibility to deliver their products with quality and on time.
The role is challenging, and you will need skills in project planning, communication, and technical problem-solving. Being a part of the HVAC & Air Distribution team will give you the opportunity to grow and develop within your spectrum of expertise.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement the best possible solutions and ensure that components fulfill the requirements based on our client’s high-quality standards.
- Assure correct requirements and status of their deliveries regarding electromagnetic compatibility, electrical performance, electrical distribution, and LIN-communication.
- Verify performance and functionality of the HVAC by reviewing test reports, performing rig tests, and complete vehicle tests.
- Contribute to developing the climate system solution, subsystem design, and performing FMEAs.
- Plan activities and maintain the development pace according to project plans.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience and competence.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- High knowledge in electronics design, software control, and software communication.
- Experience in product development processes.
