Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Software Download and Test Equipment.

At our client’s engineering department of Manufacturing Engineering – SWDL and EOL, they are responsible for designing and delivering programs to download vehicle software and scripts to test and calibrate the vehicles before they leave the factory.

You will be part of an engineering team that develops solutions to fulfill attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within the decided cost and time frames. The work includes interactions with other engineering departments, plant engineering within the company, and external suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop scripts and test them.
• Fault trace our client’s software scripts on vehicles.
• Contact stakeholders at the engineering level in R&D to feedback test results on systems/components.
• Participate in test planning and test execution meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience as a Mechatronic/Software Engineer.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Technical education at the university level or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel on business trips to China or Charleston for 2-3 weeks at a time.

Additional Qualifications:

• VCATS system knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of data communication on CAN & TCP/IP.
