Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an experienced component design engineer to be part of their Exterior Camera sensor team.

In our client’s department within Safe Vehicle Automation, there are around 120 ambitious and highly skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for their active safety and self-driving vehicles. Their Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & Advanced Driver Assistance System Platform develops the complete sensor and software platform for functions such as collision avoidance, automatic parking, and autonomous driving. Included in their responsibility is the design and verification of state-of-the-art LiDARs, ultrasonic sensors, cameras, and radars.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a curious and open-minded team player with a ”bring-it-on” mindset in the agile development team.
  • Define, guide, and integrate the Camera sensor mechanically and electrically into the vehicles.
  • Work closely with the team, suppliers, and other stakeholders to create different concepts and prototypes.
  • Verify concepts and prototypes before continuing to develop the final solution towards production intent.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in automotive sensor integration.
  • Knowledge of Camera or Vision systems.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechatronics, robotics, or similar fields.
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing automotive sensors or Camera sensor/systems from other industries.
  • Understanding of sensor performance, time, cost, and quality optimization.
  • Knowledge of modern materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Driver’s license (B, valid in the EU).
