Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Design Engineer specializing in Thermal Management. In this role, you will work in the early phases of Function Realization and System Design, collaborating closely with other technical areas, attributes, and aspects. An important internal interface is with our client’s Thermal SW group, which is responsible for controls, diagnostics, and calibration. You will work alongside Function Owners, System Architects, SW developers, CAE experts, and Component Owners, playing a crucial role in shaping their development and implementing structures and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the system design and implementation of Thermal Management functionality across departments.
• Break down functional behavior into requirements for software implementation, both within your department and for other technical areas as needed.
• Lead the system design work, including the allocation of software components, actuators, and sensors.
• Participate in the future development and improvement of Thermal Management functionalities, documented in Technical and Functional Roadmaps.
• Contribute to the development of the Verification plan (AVN) at both the system and complete vehicle levels, concerning the function, both generically and per program.
• Engage in system safety work such as HARA and lead necessary developments for FTAs, TSCs, or similar processes.
• Participate in benchmark activities within your functional area.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.
• 2-5 years of experience in functionality or software development best practices.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Driver’s license (B).

Meritorious:

• Experience in software/function development and/or testing within automotive development.
• Knowledge and experience in control technology, both theoretical and practical applications.
