Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Hardware (HW).

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and continuously improve the quality of the electrical architecture for the steering system.
• Follow the technical/logical plan for the competence area.
• Collaborate with system architects and the attribute team to draw up specifications and requirements for components, and communicate them to potential suppliers with proper documentation.
• Work closely with:
  • Attribute leaders (safety, vehicle dynamics, etc.)
  • Manufacturing teams
  • EMC specialists
  • External suppliers
  • Other relevant stakeholders
• Define test plans and review test results.
• Ensure work is delivered according to specified acceptance criteria and definitions.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ISO 16750 testing standards.
• Experience with EMC.
• Experience in motor control system/ECU development.
• Proficiency in PCB schematics and layout.
• Experience in PCB testing and design verification.
• Ability to conduct worst-case circuit analysis.
• Experience with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
• Proficiency in engineering documentation (requirements).
• Technical education, preferably a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in product development.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience in supplier management.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
