Our client in the automotive industry is seeking an Electrical & Electronics Engineer to work on Complete Electrical HIL. The client is focused on digital innovation and aims to lead the automotive industry by simplifying customers’ lives through a digital ecosystem. Team Responsibilities: Complete HIL Development
- Develop and maintain electrical HIL rigs (Hardware in the Loop) at the complete vehicle level.
- Integrate and verify both hardware and software in early development phases.
- Simulate environmental models in real-time using dSpace SCALEXIO simulators.
- Ensure HIL rigs are updated with new technology to support future projects (e.g., electrification, autonomous vehicles).
Main Responsibilities:
- Work in a cross-functional HIL team focused on continuous improvements in test automation and modeling (Simulink).
- Gain a broad understanding of the client’s vehicle systems and electrical functions.
- Collaborate with various internal groups, suppliers, and external teams.
- Engage in tasks involving both hardware and software.
- Contribute to developing the HIL concept to enable test automation and continuous integration.
- Participate in team efforts for continuous improvement, self-development, and evolving new ways of working.
- Lead the building, developing, maintaining, and testing of HIL rigs for the complete vehicle platform.
- Support verification efforts in vehicles at the system or functional level.
- Collaborate across teams to develop solutions for multiple platforms.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or B.Sc. in electronics, physics, mechatronics, or a similar field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, especially in automotive electrical system design, development, and integration.
Technical/Behavioral/Interpersonal Competencies:
- Experience in the design and development of electronic components and systems (HW and SW).
- Proven ability to:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems (e.g., wiring harnesses, power distribution systems).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for component integration.
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Implement communication protocols for system connectivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Work with test-driven development and create test descriptions/specifications.
- Conduct model-based development using Simulink/Stateflow.
- Design and develop Graphical User Interfaces for test benches.
- Build and automate test systems using dSpace rigs.
Domain Expertise (Experience in the following areas):
- Hybrid/electric vehicle development.
- AD/ADAS systems.
- Infotainment or body functionality.
- HMI and connectivity.
- Powertrain and high-voltage systems.
- Brake systems.
Additional Experience:
- Vehicle verification at system or functional level.
- Expertise in scripting and test automation (Python, CI, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, ETH).
- Skills in Matlab, Python, or RobotFramework.
Tools and Systems Experience:
- Version control systems (Gerrit).
- dSPACE software (ConfigurationDesk, ControlDesk, ModelDesk).
- Building dSPACE hardware (SCALEXIO Customized Rack/LabBox, compatible IO boards).
- Traffic simulation environments (IPG CarMaker, VTD Vires).
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and regulatory requirements (EMC, EMI).
Way of Working:
- Skilled in Agile/SAFe framework with release experience.
- Ability to ensure product flow and deliveries.
- Capable of organizing team efforts and coaching team members.
- Experience with continuous improvements and continuous integration processes.
