Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

Providing IT platforms that allow developers to use their creativity to build products and services is critical in a modern, software-first world. Well-designed IT platforms enable developers to deliver high-quality software that meets business needs efficiently.

The mission of this role is to develop, support, operate, and maintain core IT platforms and tools to meet business challenges both in the short and long term. The team is responsible for maximizing the value of their IT platforms by balancing development, life cycle management, and ensuring platform functionality and stability. As enablers for their software development teams, they collaborate closely with developers to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers and developers alike.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop, support, and maintain IT platforms and tools that empower developers to build high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with software development teams to deliver solutions that meet business and technical needs.
• Maximize the value of IT platforms by balancing development efforts with life cycle management.
• Ensure platform stability, functionality, and performance.
• Support developers in leveraging platform capabilities effectively.

Qualifications:

• Core Competencies:
  • Senior software developer with expertise in C# and .NET microservice APIs.
  • Strong understanding of agile software development processes and practices.
  • Experience working in platform teams with self-service products and capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud (e.g., storage, Key Vault, containers, working with Azure Portal).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure API Management and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems and architecture.
  • DevOps experience, including support, testing, and ownership of support channels for internal teams and customers.
• Good to Have:
  • Experience with RabbitMQ and distributed event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure Event Grid and Powershell.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and working on integrations.
  • Knowledge of logging and tracing systems like Elastic or similar.
• Meritorious Competences:
  • Understanding of infrastructure components (networks, firewalls, DNS, storage).
  • Experience with BizTalk (development, maintenance, support).
  • Knowledge of Nodinite.
  • Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
