Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in software development for mechatronic systems and project management. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of steering systems and collaborate with top industry professionals.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and continuously improving the quality of the steering system.
• Following the technical/logical plan for the competence area.
• Collaborating with system architects, principal engineers, and the attribute team to define specifications and requirements for components.
• Communicating requirements to potential suppliers with detailed documentation.
• Working closely with various teams and stakeholders, including:
  • Attribute leaders (e.g., safety, vehicle dynamics)
  • Manufacturing teams
  • External suppliers
• Defining test plans, conducting acceptance and integration tests, and reviewing test results.
• Ensuring all work is delivered according to specified acceptance criteria and definitions.

Required Qualifications:

• A passion for software development with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development for mechatronic systems.
• An eagerness to develop and continuously improve the quality of the steering system architecture.
• A Master’s degree in Controls and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• A valid driving license (B) and regular driving experience.
• More than 10 years of experience in:
  • Engineering documentation (requirements)
  • Software quality assurance
  • Project management
  • Supplier management
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • System safety
  • Cybersecurity
  • Diagnostics
  • Validation/verification
• Self-organizing, with the ability to work independently in product development processes, systems, and tools.
