Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Software Application Developer with a DevOps Mindset for their Software Digital, Car Cloud Platform. The client’s mission is to make people’s lives less complicated by designing services around people and innovating to provide mobility that is personal, sustainable, and safe.

• Building, providing, and operating a highly secure run-time ecosystem for functions and applications serving the connected car and its users.
• Optimizing functional and organic growth by utilizing standard cloud technologies with a high level of synergies and re-use.
• Car Cloud Solution: Provides cloud infrastructure, platform services & core components to support development and DevOps.
• Offers tools for fast feedback & built-in quality.

Main Responsibilities:

• Part of an empowered agile DevOps team that focuses on continuous learning and improvement.
• Define, build, test, deploy, maintain, and operate highly secure applications serving connected cars and their users in the Position & Map Services product area.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to:
• Ensure the right functionality is developed.
• Estimate the size and complexity of the work for upcoming sprint planning.
• Maintain the technical design within the given architectural guidelines.
• Work with modern tools, a microservices-oriented architecture, and new technologies.
• Daily interaction with teams globally, including locations in Gothenburg & Lund, Sweden, Europe, the US, and China.
• Office guidelines: Office-first (most work is on-site).

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in Java development.
• A BSc degree or higher in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
• Preferred Expertise: Spring Framework.
• DevOps, test automation, and system monitoring.
• Technologies: Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, REST/gRPC, JMS/AMQP.
• Experience in handling car-related information for the cloud, cars, mobile apps, and partners is highly valued.
• Familiar with principles of Scaled Agile, Scrum, Lean, and Kanban.
• Experience working in product teams.
