Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Cloud Fault Tracing Engineer.
After multiple levels of support, the most challenging issues will reach you and your team. You will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving faults within the automotive cloud platform.
You will have direct access to the cloud system running on AWS, utilizing the latest tech stack (Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker), as well as access to monitoring and fault tracing tools (such as Splunk). Additionally, you’ll have access to vehicles and test rigs to reproduce issues from the start. You will also work closely with DevOps teams to continuously improve products.
The cloud expert support team consists of six people working across three time zones (US, EU, China), allowing you to share experiences and collaborate on market-specific implementations.
This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing customer satisfaction by improving the user experience.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on cloud support for internal support teams.
- Engaging with various stakeholders to understand the inner workings of cloud services.
- Setting up test equipment such as cars and rigs to reproduce issues.
- Staying well-connected with ongoing changes to anticipate future issues.
- Building solid documentation to resolve identified misconfigurations.
- Contributing to the design of interfaces and tools to streamline support processes.
Required Qualifications:
- BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1-5 years of experience with cloud technologies and problem-solving in a technical support role.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Technical Skills:
- AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio
- Jira, GitLab, GitHub, Maven, GitOps, Argo CD
- Splunk, Linux/SSH/Bash, Grafana
