Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a SW & System Design Engineer. As a System Design Engineer for Cameras, you will play a pivotal role in component development. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the Camera System Architecture, defining its interfaces, and ensuring smooth integration with the main Core Computing system.
You have previous experience working with SW architecture & design, and you will strengthen the team by:
- Creating a flexible SW platform.
- Supporting developers and suppliers to optimize SW delivery.
- Handling the breakdown and handshake of functional and non-functional requirements into modules, components, and interfaces.
You will work in a structured way, adopt new tools (such as Carweaver, Team Center), and maintain effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders and dependencies like Solution Architects, sensor suppliers, and the Function and AD/ADAS Software Development teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain the system/SW architecture for the exterior camera platform.
- Define system interfaces to ensure seamless integration with the Core Computing system.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, sensor suppliers, and AD/ADAS Software Dev teams to ensure alignment and proper communication.
- Ensure the system meets functional safety and cyber security standards.
- Define both internal and external SW processes.
- Conduct necessary cyber security investigations.
- Optimize sensor integration and system performance.
- Gather, define, and document system requirements.
- Ensure quality SW delivery through ASPICE assessments.
- Work with memory-intensive applications and sensor data processing in the NVIDIA Core Computing system.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Software Architecture Design within complex embedded systems.
- Proficiency in real-time fault-tolerant software design.
- Programming experience in C/C++ and Python.
- Expertise in Object-Oriented Development.
- Experience with functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262, SOTIF, and Cyber Security.
- At least a Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, or related fields.
- More than 5 years of SW design experience.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- A valid EU Driver’s License (”B”) is a merit.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Understanding of Automotive Diagnostic Concepts.
- Experience with tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins.
- Experience working with NVIDIA automotive HW/SW tools.
- Experience with Core System Platform/Components.
