Our client in the automotive industry  is currently seeking a Verification and Integration Engineer to join their team. Our client recently launched its first fully electric vehicle and is aiming to electrify its entire range by 2030. Electrification is a key element in the company’s strategy, and they are fully committed to sustainability. However, they also recognize that electric vehicles are just one piece of the sustainability puzzle. With this in mind, they aim to provide customers with optimized energy solutions for their homes, helping to reduce both carbon emissions and electricity costs.

External Energy Systems Team

The External Energy Systems team is responsible for developing innovative, out-of-vehicle solutions, including:

  • Wall boxes
  • Energy storage systems
  • Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) solutions

This team is part of the broader Energy division and collaborates closely with various departments, including the Charging, Battery, App, and Cloud teams. Together, they are responsible for delivering both AC and DC charging solutions, as well as internal and external energy management systems for vehicles. Emerging technologies, such as V2X, smart charging, and wireless charging, are on the horizon and will soon be integrated into the product lineup.

The External Energy Systems team is growing, and their work will become increasingly significant as the company moves forward. Their goal is to provide customers with safe and sustainable charging options, alongside seamless integration with smart energy management systems. To achieve this, they are dedicated to continuously improving their software and hardware capabilities—and this is where they need your expertise!

Main Responsibilities

As a Verification and Integration Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the testing of components, systems, and the overall ecosystem.
  • Bring your expertise in testing components such as wall boxes, electric converters, battery systems, and related communication systems.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams and external suppliers, ensuring effective communication, flexibility, and openness.
  • Take ownership and drive progress in a technology area that is still evolving, requiring high personal initiative and responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with OEMs in the home energy sector (EV charging, energy management, solar power, energy storage).
  • A BSc/MSc degree or several years of relevant work experience.
  • Background in software and/or hardware development.
  • Knowledge of public and private charging solutions (highly valued).
  • An innovative mindset.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • A valid driver’s license (B).
