Assignment Description
We are seeking two skilled Data Engineers with extensive experience in Azure technologies, particularly Azure Databricks. The ideal candidates will be proficient in configuring, implementing, managing, and developing solutions using Databricks. They should have a solid understanding of Databricks architecture and hands-on experience with Databricks clusters and modules, including Data Engineering, Machine Learning (ML), and SQL Warehouse. Knowledge of medallion architecture, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Unity Catalog within Databricks is essential.
The assignment will initially require full-time onsite work for the first month in Måløv, outside Copenhagen. Afterward, onsite presence will be required only one to two days per week.
We are looking for individuals with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills in English, capable of effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Configure, implement, manage, and develop solutions using Azure Databricks.
- Set up and manage Databricks clusters and work within Databricks modules, including Data Engineering, ML, and SQL Warehouse.
- Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and CI/CD tools and methodologies to ensure high-quality code and efficient development processes.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams using Scrum or other Agile development methodologies.
- Communicate proficiently in English, both verbally and in writing, to work efficiently within a global team.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Azure technologies.
- Specific expertise in Azure Storage, Synapse, Azure authentication patterns, and adherence to Azure well-architected principles.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Databricks.
- Fundamental knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and data engineering principles.
- Expertise in Azure Databricks configuration, implementation, management, and development.
- Solid understanding of Databricks fundamentals and architecture.
- Experience with setting up Databricks clusters and working within Databricks modules (Data Engineering, ML, SQL Warehouse).
- Knowledge of medallion architecture, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Unity Catalog within Databricks.
- Strong experience with TDD, BDD, and CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Research & Early Development, integrating to core data sources such as IIDP, Sciworm, NNCD, and ELN.
Additional qualifications include experience with Docker and Kubernetes, which would be considered an advantage.
