Assignment Description

We are seeking an Application Software (ASW) Engineer to develop, implement, and validate embedded software for automotive powertrain and electric drive unit (EDU) systems. This role focuses on designing and integrating application-layer software to ensure seamless interaction with hardware and middleware while optimizing system performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining real-time embedded software, optimizing control algorithms using model-based development (MBD) with MATLAB/Simulink, and ensuring AUTOSAR compliance. Testing and validation are essential, involving Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and vehicle-level testing. Debugging and performance optimization require tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and Vector DaVinci Developer.

The role also involves integrating control algorithms with middleware and low-level drivers, implementing diagnostic and fault detection strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align software with system requirements. Ensuring compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434) is critical, along with maintaining version control (Git/SVN) and contributing to Agile development processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink for embedded software development.
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems and model-based control strategies.
  • Strong understanding of AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive Platform.
  • Familiarity with structured development processes such as ASPICE, Agile, and V-Model.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
  • Expertise in software testing and debugging using tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and Polyspace.
  • Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, including Git and Jenkins.
