Assignment Description

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure high-quality automotive software. You will execute automated and manual tests, maintain test environments, analyze results, and resolve defects while ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE. Your responsibilities include improving test procedures, participating in code reviews, developing test scripts for HiL/SiL setups, and collaborating on test automation frameworks.

You will develop and execute test plans to ensure software functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Success in this role requires independence, problem-solving skills, and a structured, analytical mindset to enhance testing processes. You will work closely with developers and system engineers to define test cases, automate testing, track defects, and conduct performance/regression testing while reporting key quality metrics.

You have the authority to approve or reject software builds based on test results, influence test system automation, and propose process and tool improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python with strong skills in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Hands-on experience in developing automated test scripts and implementing test frameworks.
• Experience with penetration testing, Cyber Security, and executing both automated and manual test cases.
• Ability to create structured and detailed bug reports and communicate issues effectively with development teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Experience working in version-controlled environments (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
• Proficiency in using test management tools like JIRA and Codebeamer.
• Ability to write detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios while ensuring proper documentation of results.
• Understanding of UDS protocols, CAN, XCP, and ETK.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 14229, and ISO 21434 standards.
• General experience with microcontrollers, electric machines, and automotive systems.
• Higher education in a relevant field and practical application of skills in a professional setting.
