Assignment Description

We are seeking an OTA Operations Engineer responsible for maintaining vehicle software updates. This role involves creating and monitoring OTA assignments, troubleshooting, and optimizing processes for software updates.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on vehicle communication, software updates, and/or vehicle connectivity.
• Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to learning and professional growth in a technical role.
• Self-driven and motivated, with a strong commitment to ensuring seamless vehicle connectivity and software updates.
• Proficiency in documentation and compliance auditing, ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards.

Awareness of automotive standards, including ISO 14229, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 14230, ISO 24089, and ISO 26262, is highly meritorious. Experience with OTA/RVDC processes, software lifecycle management, and cloud-based OTA deployment platforms is considered an advantage. Familiarity with secure communication protocols (TLS, HTTPS), encryption, key management, and secure boot techniques is beneficial. Proficiency in troubleshooting OTA update failures and fleet anomalies is highly valued, along with the ability to analyze large vehicle datasets and create dashboards/reports using Power BI. Previous experience with OTA update processes, including planning, testing, validation, and deployment, is meritorious.

Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, DoIP) and diagnostic services such as session control, security access, and data transfer is beneficial. Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools like CANalyzer, CANape, or PyUDS is appreciated.
