Assignment description

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team. You should have 5+ years of experience in developing and automating workflows in GitHub/Actions in both a cloud environment and a classic data center environment. Since the client is in a process of changing from classic IT to cloud based, experience in this kind of transformation is welcomed.

As a DevOps Engineer you will mainly be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their GitHub infrastructure to support their development and production environments. The role involves working closely with the development teams as well as other stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure. Knowledge about Jenkins is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, automate, implement, and maintain GitHub/Actions
• Develop and implement automated processes using GitHub Actions in combinations with other tools (like Jira and ServiceNow)
• Collaborate with the development teams to ensure that functionality and efficiency/automation is in place
• Work with security teams to ensure security and compliance with industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in GitHub and GitHub Actions
• 5+ years of experience in AWS Infrastructure, Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, etc.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Bash and Python
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

• Experience with integrations with other tools like Jira and ServiceNow
• Familiarity with code scanning tools (like Sonarcube)
• SAFe certification and/or working in a SAFe organization
• Agile based working models Kanban and Scrum
