Assignment description
We are looking for a CFD simulation engineer for commercial vehicle traction batteries.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting CFD calculations in the area of traction batteries with a focus on thermal conditioning to increase performance.
- Optimizing components based on test and calculation results to improve the battery’s service life, efficiency, and performance.
- Supporting component validation using simulation.
- Coordinating between simulation, testing, and design.
- Distinctive competences in communicating and distributing results orally and in writing in both large and small forums.
- Comparing and correlating calculation results with physical testing, and providing conclusions that guide the team.
Qualifications:
- You have a degree in engineering in mechanics, technical physics, electrical engineering, energy engineering or similar fields with a focus on electromobility or mechatronics.
- You have wide experience of performing CFD calculations, particularly solving kinetic and thermal problems, and a combination of these.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the calculation of thermodynamic processes.
- You have relevant experience in 3D CFD with common CFD processors, preferably Ansa and Siemens Star CCM+.
- You have very good theoretical and practical knowledge of the components of electrified powertrain systems, especially the design of traction battery systems.
- You have advanced English skills, which is required for international cooperation. Swedish is a bonus.
Meriting:
- Knowledge about electrical system and/or embedded systems in vehicles.
- C/CE driver´s license.
- Agile way of working (VCT).
