Assignment description
We are looking for a Backend developer.
In this role, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering a seamless and high-quality product used by retailers. The role involves close collaboration with other teams and requires a solid understanding of IT landscapes and how various systems fit together. While a broad, strategic (”helicopter view”) perspective is appreciated, it is not a strict requirement.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a key component of a large-scale digital transformation within the retail domain, with a particular focus on Customer Data and how it can enable other products and team members to work more effectively and efficiently.
Main responsibilities include:
- Develop backend services in a Microsoft Azure environment
- Work with integration schemas, best practices, and data models
- Leverage event-based architecture to deliver scalable solutions
- Write high-quality code tailored to the intended purpose
- Design and maintain well-documented and versioned REST APIs
- Set up automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, with a DevOps and security mindset
Qualifications:
Required skills and experience:
- Extensive experience with .NET, C#, and Microsoft Azure
- Proficient in defining, building, and maintaining REST APIs
- Strong focus on API-first development with emphasis on clarity, performance, and maintainability
- Solid understanding of scalable and resilient distributed systems
- Experience in cloud-native architecture
- Ability to design clean, modular code based on real-world business processes
Tech stack includes:
- Primary language: C# (.NET 9 and later)
- Architecture: Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Microservices
- Patterns: RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Monitoring tools: OpenTelemetry, structured logging, distributed tracing
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Experience working with Customer Master Data in a global or international context
