Assignment Description

We are seeking a Release Manager. The assignment includes defining and implementing release management processes aligned with ROSS-level governance. You will coordinate release planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple environments while establishing and maintaining a DROP-level release governance structure. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders in products, QA, automation, security, and transition teams to ensure readiness and compliance. Furthermore, you will align release processes with CI/CD pipelines and ensure reusability for future migrations, as well as ensure traceability and documentation of all releases and changes. The role requires two to three days on-site in Malmö per week

Main Responsibilities:

D365 FO

Within D365 FO, you will manage release cycles, including code, configuration, and data deployments. This includes coordinating with development and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions between environments and ensuring synchronization between D365 FO and external or downstream systems. You will oversee the execution of release plans, including rollback strategies and contingency planning, while ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements. The role also involves supporting manual and automated deployment processes as needed.

D365 Commerce

Within D365 Commerce, you will lead release planning and execution, including POS and retail store systems. You will coordinate deployment of retail-specific configurations, pricing, promotions, and customer data, and ensure synchronization between D365 Commerce and external systems such as payment gateways. In addition, you will validate data integrity and system readiness post-release and collaborate with retail operations to minimize disruption during releases.

Required Qualifications:

• Skilled at working in agile, product-driven, and collaborative settings.
• Strong abilities in organization, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
• Understanding of D365 FO and Commerce system architecture, data flows, and integration touchpoints.
• Experience overseeing releases in large-scale ERP and retail environments spanning multiple systems.
• Solid knowledge of release management processes, DevOps methodologies, and CI/CD frameworks.
• Demonstrated background as a Release Manager within MSD365 FO and Commerce projects.
