Assignment Description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Application Engineer to develop and enhance application software for thermal systems, focusing on the control of coolant and refrigerant circuits. The position covers all stages of the software lifecycle — from requirement definition and design to implementation, testing, validation, and documentation — in an agile environment that blends new feature development with continuous improvement.
The engineer will develop and validate embedded software for advanced control and mechatronic systems within thermal management, including defining control strategies, performing calibration and tuning, and integrating software components from different teams. Close collaboration with technical departments and testing environments is essential to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and release readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of relevant experience in embedded software development
- Background in control strategy design and software verification
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in functional testing, calibration, and tuning
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, plan efficiently, and take initiative
Experience in thermal system development for vehicles and familiarity with testing methods such as SIL, MIL, or HIL are considered advantages. Knowledge of tools and programming languages including Matlab, Simulink, TargetLink, Jenkins, Embedded Coder, C, C++, and Python is highly valued. Holding a C or CE driving license is also beneficial.
