Assignment Description

We are looking for a Document and Configuration Management Professional to join the team supporting sales operations within the Medium Gas Turbine Service Segment.

The role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of tools and processes that ensure reliable and consistent sales support. You will work in an international environment focused on improving efficiency and accuracy in sales activities through the use of the CPQ tool Tacton, which is a key business system for the segment. The assignment includes developing, modeling, and maintaining the Tacton solution to secure correct product configurations, pricing, and quotations. Collaboration with colleagues from sales, engineering, and product management is central, as well as ensuring proper documentation and quality of configuration data. The position requires a structured and analytical approach, strong communication skills in English, and experience in document or configuration management within technical environments. Experience with CPQ systems, preferably Tacton, is an advantage.

Your responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for product configuration needs.
• Design, build complex product configuration models in Tacton CPQ to meet business and customer requirements.
• Configure pricing rules, discount structures, and quote generation processes within the Tacton platform.
• Continuously optimize and improve existing configuration models for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop solutions that support, enable, and drive frontline sales teams to sell better, faster, more reliably, more consistently, and more efficiently.
• Coordination and management of gathering information for implementation projects from various business stakeholders.
• Be a crucial part of a cross-functional development team (IT programmer, Tacton modelers, Engineering, Sales, Management, External Consultants) to achieve the set project objectives
• Run projects in an agile manner, by gathering information, clarifications and continuously seeking feedback from front line sales, R&D, finance team during solution development.
• Test and validate product configurations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and trends related to CPQ and Tacton modeling.
• Provide technical expertise and support to sales teams in using Tacton CPQ for quoting and proposal generation.

Qualifications:

• You have proven experience working with CPQ systems, with specific expertise in Tacton modeling.
• You have a strong understanding of product configuration principles and best practices.
• You are skilled at translating business requirements into technical solutions within the Tacton platform.
• You have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• You are able to prioritize tasks, manage your workload efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
• You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent working experience with proven skills relevant to the role.

Preferred experience and skills:

• You hold certifications in Tacton CPQ or similar configuration tools.
• You can independently set up Tacton configuration models, integrating product knowledge, data, and processes.
• You are able to maintain and further develop the modeling aspects of a Tacton Configurator project on your own.
• You have strong expertise in CRM systems and their integration with CPQ tools.
• You are experienced in ERP systems and how they interact with CPQ solutions.
• You have deep knowledge of object type hierarchies.
• You are experienced in using advanced concepts and tools within TCStudio.
• You are skilled in modeling with attributes, features, and constraints.
• You are proficient in Tacton Constraint Language (TCL) and capable of implementing complex logic to manage diverse product configurations, pricing scenarios, and business rules.
• You have a minimum of five years of experience in developing solutions on the Tacton CPQ platform, gained within S-E or other companies.

Nice to have:

• You have programming skills in VBA, JavaScript, or R, which is an advantage when implementing new features for cost and price visualization in Excel for sales managers.
• You also have experience in designing, improving, and maintaining Jira dashboards and boards.
